Dag # 164 stof / fabric

Voor een mede postcrosser moest ik nog een kaartje maken met het thema dromen. Ik heb mijn dromen in de wolken van deze kaart geschreven.

For a fellow postcrosser I made a fabric card with the theme dreams. I have written my dreams in the clouds on this card.

Vervolgens heb ik nog wat ontwerp ideeën uitgeprobeerd met de al eerder genaaide sterren blokken. Het is de bedoeling om met deze blokken een nieuwe kerstquilt te maken. Nu al deze blokken zo bij elkaar gelegd zijn vind ik het geen kerst uitstraling hebben. Het geheel is te licht van kleur en de vlakken met alleen achtergrond stof zijn te groot.

After that I tried to find a good layout for the wonky star blocks I made a couple of week ago. I want to make a new Christmasquilt with these blocks, but if I see these blocks together this way it doesn't look like that at all. There is to much background and the colors are to bright.


 

Ik  heb voor dit  "probleem" voorlopig 2 mogelijke oplossingen bedacht. Ik weet niet of de definitieve oplossing hier al bij zit maar het wordt er wel al een stuk beter van. De ene oplossing is het toevoegen van extra blokken in een kerststof, de andere mogelijkheid is het werken met tussenstroken in een kerststof.

I found 2 possible solutions for this "problem". I don't know if I found the final solution yet but it looks much better this way. The first possibility is the use of extra blocks in a Christmas fabric, the other possibility is the use of sashings.
