Ik heb al eerder gesproken over een vervolg experiment voor het maken van mandjes van plastic strips. Deze keer heb ik gekozen voor strips in één kleur maar garen in 2 kleuren. Door ook nu de techniek van het twijnen te gebruiken ontstaat een leuk gestreept effect. Omdat ik weer het zelfde aantal strips heb gebruikt wordt het mandje ongeveer even groot als de vorige (zo'n 9 a 10 cm in het vierkant). Op de foto is ook het doosje te zien dat als steun gebruikt wordt tijdens het twijnen. Dit om te voorkomen dat ik de draden te strak aantrek en er een soort kegelvorm ontstaat. Ik hoop binnenkort het eindresultaat te kunnen laten zien.
I told you before about making another basket of plastic strips. This time I chose strips in one colour and yarn in 2 colours. The striped effect is caused by the twining technique. Because I used the same amout of stripes as last time the basket will become as big as the previous one (about 3 or 4 inch square). On the picture you can also see the box that is used to support the twining. This support is needed to correct the shape during the twining. I hope to show you the results soon.
